When Frog Lake Mutual was formed about 1957 each subscriber purchased several telephone poles; second hand wire; hardware and phones were purchased from Saskatchewan and we built our own lines into Heinsburg, immediately joining central where Mrs. Ballas was operator. This locally built and paid for line remained in use until the A.G.T. dissolved our Mutual on October 19th, 1968, built underground lines and installed dial phones. T.V. was introduced in the 1950's, soon after the power.
Now, in 1975, no longer pioneers, we are self-employed in the "business of farming."
