In baseball and hockey Heinsburg was a force to be reckoned with for Dewberry, Tulliby Lake, Cold Lake, and even as far as Onion Lake to the east and Derwent and Two Hills to the west... When base ball died out, a new trend started up, and a fast ball team, became something to contend with, when a three diamond “ball field “was built near Whitney Lake, one of them was the ladies diamond... The “HEINSBURG BLUES”, could hold their own, where ever they went also..

My memories of this, is, “THE HEINSBURG MEN’S baseball team”, “the HEINSBURG, EAGLES” men’s fastball team”, and the “HEINSBURG BLUES” Ladies, softball team.
