Onion Lake Memories

1RWiconweb_33.gifMemories

There are memories that I hold dear,

A song of birds so sweet and clear.

Across the meadows wide and green

Where all is beauty and serene.

There are memories that I hold dear,

The hum of bees I hear.

Gathering honey for future days

In fields and meadow lays.

There are memories that I hold dear,

Forever calling me near.

To where the water lilies grow

And the coolest waters flow.

Be it song of a bird,

Or a honey bee.

A flower wild,

All are memories to me.

Mrs. Roberton (Carrie Money) wrote this poem while at Frog Lake many years ago.
