Bruce and Ethyl Blair and their three children, Ileen, Jim and George came to the Frog Lake district in 1933. They lived the following year in the Whitney Lake district, after which they moved into Heinsburg, where they operated Tony's Cafe for two years, moving on in 1937. I always look back on that time in Heinsburg as an especially happy part of my life. It was during the depression so most of us must have been poor, but we didn't even know it.

In 1944 my parents moved to Victoria, B.C., where my mother still lives with her son George and his family, and where my father passed away in 1971. Jim lives in Edmonton and I in Calgary.
